Camelbeach and Aquatopia
Camelback Resort has access to two water parks: Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark. Depending on when you stay, you can enjoy one or both.
Enjoy the comfortable warmth of 84 degrees no matter what the weather's like outside. The unique construction of a giant sphere makes it possible for this water park to stay open all year-round. Enter the Caribbean-like atmosphere and plan to stay all day long. Inside the park, you'll find pools, rides, and slides for everyone in your group. In between sliding and swimming, browse through attractive retail areas or replenish at one of the concession areas. If you want a bit of private time to relax, reserve some space in your own private cabana. Aquatopia is typically open from 10:00am until 10:00pm and features
- Tube slides
- Body slides
- Mat slides
- Bowl slides
- Aqua launch capsule slides
- Kiddie slides
When your vacation won't be complete without some time in the sun, head over to Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark. This outdoor area of the resort features thrill rides, family and kid rides, and plenty of activities, both in and out of the water. You might enjoy soaring across the mountain on the ziplines or participate in a treetop adventure course. When you hit the water, you can enjoy a tube ride that fits the whole family or bob peacefully in the wave pool. Try your hand at surfing, or drift along the adventure river. When you're ready for a break, check out some of the gorgeous dining spots in the park. Don't forget to schedule your visit during one of our special events, such as Latin Music Sundays. Park hours for Camelbeach vary by season and according to the weather, usually opening at 10:00 a.m. and closing at 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. Check out the website to learn more about twilight and seasonal events.
Water Park Hours of Operation
It's all fun and games at water parks until the rain clouds roll in. For the safety and ongoing enjoyment of guests at the park, some rides are closed during inclement weather. Additionally, the indoor water park needs at least a few hours a day for cleaning and upkeep. Before you head out for a late-night swim, make sure you know what the hours of operation are and make your plans accordingly.
10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 or 7:00 p.m.
There's plenty to do in and around the Lodge during each season of the year, so feel free to plan a spring, summer, fall, or winter vacation to this beautiful location. Some of these activities include a zipline and/or snowtubing.
During cold weather, the Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark, located outside, isn't open for operation. Instead, your group can head into Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark for plenty of warmth and water fun.
When the weather prevents outdoor fun in the water, certain rides or the whole park may be closed for the safety of the participants. Check the website or ask at the front desk of the Lodge for more information.

Tips for Enjoying an Indoor-Outdoor Water Park
If this is your first vacation at a water park, check out some general tips from experienced parents to make sure you and your family has a great time.
1. Establish a Meeting Place
There should be one location where your family knows to check in. Maybe you've staked out some lounge chairs or reserved a cabana. No matter where you have your towels laid out, this is the spot where your kids will check in between rides and where you'll all gather when everyone's ready for some lunch. It's also a great place to discuss how long you'll stay and when you're going to head out. This is easier to do when you aren't standing in line distracted by the fun other park participants are still enjoying.
2. Arrive Early
Long lines and the dull roar of hundreds of guests are a testament to the fun found at a water park, but that doesn't mean you have to embrace the wait. Show up early enough to claim a central meeting spot for your family and hit the rides before long lines build up later in the day. On the other hand, you could wait until the end of the day. With the late hours of the Camelback parks, you might enjoy the relatively peaceful hours of twilight play.
3. Pack Sunscreen
It's no surprise that you should apply and re-apply sunscreen during your time at the outdoor water park, but did you know that you'll want to pack it for the indoor water park as well? Depending on the type of materials used to construct the roof of the dome, you could still enjoy enough sun for sunbathing – and this means you'll also want to protect yourself and your little ones against sunburns.
4. Load Up on Snacks and Towels
Many water parks provide towels and concessions for visitors, but you'll generally feel more comfortable carrying in your own large, absorbent towels and cooler full of favorite snacks. If nothing else, you'll probably be glad to have your own stash of bottled water. Just make sure there aren't any park policies that prohibit outside food and drink.
5. Keep Your Focus on Safety
From tightening life vests to pointing out lifeguards, you and your children will enjoy the park much more if you are confident in each other's safety. Some parks will require that your child wear a life vest if she isn't tall enough. Plan to take your own vests with you so you're confident you have the right size and fit for your child. You may also want to make sure you've got swim shoes with you. These are great for providing protection between young soles and the hot pavement, as well as creating a buffer between little feet and rough pool floors.
