When Is the Best Time To Visit Quassy Amusement Park?
When you go to Quassy can determine what you’re able to do and experience while you’re there. When planning your trip, these are some factors you should consider before picking a date.
If you’re not familiar with Middlebury, Connecticut’s weather, you are probably wondering when the best time to enjoy the water park and lake is. Connecticut rains all year long, but the rainiest month is definitely May. It’s not uncommon to face bad weather in Connecticut and occasionally experience flooding. When the weather is bad enough, Quassy Amusement Park may close. Although they do give out rainchecks, it can be extremely inconvenient to have to leave the park, especially if you aren’t a local, so try to plan your trip when Middlebury is expecting good weather. There’s rarely a day above 80 degrees in Middlebury, so if you want to enjoy the water on the warmest day possible, you should try to go to Quassy Amusement Park in July when the weather is the warmest.
As far as amusement parks go, Quassy Amusement Park does not draw in a crowd so long you’ll be waiting over an hour to go on a ride. The only rides you should expect a longer wait for are the Wooden Warrior roller coaster and the BulletBowl ride in the water park. Guests have reported that weekends and advertised discount days are often the busiest.
If you’re hoping to avoid a large crowd, your best bet is a weekday. Even though school is out, many parents still work and will opt to take their kids on the weekends. If you don’t have children of your own to take with you, the best week to go would be the last week of August. Since school typically starts that week for local students, you can expect to have the park pretty much to yourself.
